Deaf Recreation Association Inc.

Western Australia Deaf Recreation Association established in 1935 and is based at Lake Monger recreation club, the organisation meets on a weekly basis and provides opportunities for and encourage deaf and hard of hearing people in sports and recreation. The WA Deaf Recreation Association aims to fulfill the social, recreational and sporting needs of the Deaf community of WA. The clubs operating within the Association include – Darts, Golf, Eight Ball Pool, Poker, Women’s Group, Seniors, Crafts, other indoor sport and other events.

The WA Deaf Recreation Association provides support to every sport and recreation clubs and new members are more than welcome to join, we have a social night held every Fridays at Lake Monger recreation club for everyone to gather and socialise.

Seniors are held on the first Wednesday of each month held at Lake Monger recreation club and we also have deaf poker held every 3 weeks in the hall at Lake monger recreation club.
