A passionate competitive rock climber from QLD who thrives on challenge and adventure. Jem recalls being “hooked” from the very first climb and now hopes to build a regular Deaf climbing group, saying, “it’s a great sport for deaf people in particular.” Jem also encourages young audiences to “be yourself” and highlights how climbing is “great for your mental and physical health…” and how “I love the sense of community that we share (in the rock climbing space)… this is part of the reason why I fell in love with this sport”.
