A table tennis enthusiast from VIC who has embraced sport and competition from an early age. Oliad reminisces, “I started very young at the Victorian College of the Deaf… I’m such a competitive person, I love it, I love to win games.” He later joined the University of Melbourne’s team and has represented at the Australian Deaf Games, describing his first time as “life changing – the energy, the pride, the friendships, it was absolutely amazing.” Oliad credits his father for always encouraging him: “he gave up his time to give me the access and the support I need.” Looking ahead, he shares, “if you haven’t been to the Australian Deaf Games, get there… you’ll see me there too.”
