Play Well

Over the last 2 years, the Australian Sports Commission has been working with the Sport industry including Deaf Sports Australia on developing a new national sport participation strategy to ”create sporting environments and experiences, where individuals of all ages, backgrounds, genders and abilities can come together to access the benefits of sport.’

The strategy is called PlayWell with the aim that ‘everyone has a place in sport’.

This is a significant step forward to work toward more equality and access for all in any sort of sport activity.

More information on how Deaf Sports Australia fits into this strategy coming soon.

Here is an Auslan-translated video that explains what PlayWell is about.
